Turning legacy systems into clean .NET architecture
I'm Laith — a software developer specialising in ASP.NET Core, C#, and Web API. Right now I'm leading the backend modernisation of a high-traffic Arabic learning platform, migrating a legacy ASP/ADO.NET codebase onto Dapper and Onion Architecture.
About
Architecture decisions I can stand behind
I work across the full software development lifecycle, but my centre of gravity is the backend: ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API. At Bravo Software I lead the migration of a legacy ASP/ADO.NET codebase to a scalable .NET Core architecture — introducing Onion Architecture to decouple the layers and replacing the old data-access code with Dapper for measurably faster queries.
I like owning the decisions that are hard to reverse: how the layers talk to each other, where the boundaries sit, what the data access actually costs. Alongside that I run code reviews, help define the coding standards the team works to, and work with QA and product to get features out without drama.
